Julie breeds her sheepdogs to meet all the significant demands required of a good "hill dog". These are

Stamina - essential if the dog is going to gather sheep over long distances on rugged ground 
Natural ability to use on their own initiative appropriate when working a long distance (and maybe out of sight) from the handler
Good even temperament to cope with every eventuality
Trainability to develop and reach a high standard.
Strength and power that is needed to cope with all elements of sheep work.

Julie's sheepdogs are ISDS (international sheep dog society) registered.
